MFA Overview
The three-year MFA program in Ceramics at PennWest Edinboro provides an immersive graduate experience. All accepted students receive a tuition waiver and a paid 20-hour-per-week Graduate Assistantship within the art department. MFA candidates are provided with private or shared private studios and enjoy full access to kilns, materials, and all departmental equipment. With strong faculty mentorship, generous resources, and a close-knit community of makers, the program supports rigorous creative growth and professional development.
3 year - 60 credit MFA program
Candidacy review & exhibition at mid-way point
Solo Thesis exhibition required at the end of the program
2-3 accepted students per year as space allows
Graduate Assistantships - tuition waiver and stipend, awarded to all full-time MFA students
Private Studios or Shared Private Studios
